If there is no answer and recipient has not previously indicated being away, a listed first responder or law enforcement officer will be dispatched to check. This service does not take the place of, or interfere with, Lifeline, Lifephone, or similar personal emergency services. Calls will be made at a prearranged time every day. WINDHAM COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Windham County Sheriff's Office is a county law enforcement agency responsible for carrying out the following statutory functions: transportation of prisoners and mental health workers accompanying psychiatric clients and juveniles; serving civil process documentation; provision of contracted Motor Vehicle Patrol for specific towns within Windham County as well as numerous security and traffic functions. The sheriff's department participates in the medication disposal (drug take-back) program in partnership with the Vermont Department of Health.
