MEDICAID FRAUD AND RESIDENTIAL ABUSE UNIT | OFFICE OF THE VERMONT ATTORNEY GENERAL
Provides investigation and protection services on patient abuse, which primarily includes the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly and disabled adults, as well as Medicaid provider fraud. The unit has jurisdiction when the crime occurs in any Medicaid funded facility, including nursing homes or hospitals, or in any Medicaid-funded program or setting such as home health care or community care home settings.
