COMMUNITY IMPACT | UNITED WAY OF ADDISON COUNTY

Develops partnerships, coordinates volunteers, and supports program initiatives that address specific issues in the areas of education, income and health. This includes programs that strengthen financial stability, financial literacy, individual nutritional and physical well being, early learning, addiction prevention. Additionally, support is provided for programs addressing basic needs such as housing, food, and accessibility in service communities. The United Way of Addison County initiates fund raising designed to help the communities it serves in a critical time of need. All funds are used to support organizations and people in UWAC service area.

United Way of Addison County (UWAC) is a community development organization for Addison County that conducts an annual fundraising campaign, manages a fund distribution process using community volunteers, and works collaboratively with the community to mobilize resources for special projects and initiatives to meet community needs. Program includes Addison County Volunteer Center, and Stuff the Bus.
