BALANCED AND RESTORATIVE JUSTICE | RUTLAND COUNTY RESTORATIVE JUSTICE CENTER
Provides restorative interventions for youth and youthful offenders involved with the juvenile justice system, at risk of becoming involved with the juvenile justice system, and/or truant. Aims to decrease risk factors and strengthen protective factors in order to reduce or eliminate further involvement in the system. Trained community volunteers serve on the Juvenile Restorative Panels that hold youth accountable to victims and the community.

Rutland County Restorative Justice, a member of the Community Justice Network of Vermont, is a non-profit restorative justice organization that works with citizens, local and state government, and law enforcement agencies to provide restorative responses to crime and conflict in Rutland County. Programs promote restorative practices by increasing community involvement in finding solutions to crime through Reparative Panels, Court Diversion, Pretrial Services, Victim Services, Driving With License Suspended program, and the BARJ (Balanced and Restorative Justice) and YSASP (Youth Substance Abuse Safety Program) youth programs.
