YOUTH SUBSTANCE AWARENESS SAFETY PROGRAM | BURLINGTON COMMUNITY JUSTICE CENTER
Provides a voluntary program for youth who have received a civil violation for underage drinking or possession of alcohol or a civil violation for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. The program consists of a substance abuse assessment, screening, an education program, and community service. Once YSASP clients successfully complete the program, their civil violation is voided. Once YSASP clients successfully complete the program, their civil violation is voided.

Burlington Community Justice Center, a member of the Community Justice Network of Vermont, is a non-profit restorative justice organization that works with citizens, local and state government, and law enforcement agencies to provide restorative responses to crime and conflict for the city of Burlington. Programs promote restorative practices by increasing community involvement in finding solutions to crime through Reparative Panels, Court Diversion, Conflict Assistance, Community Dialogue, Education and Crime Prevention, as well as Victim Support Services.
