COMPASS | SPECTRUM YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES
Provides crisis and stabilization services to at risk youth and families. Assists youth with supports toward developing well-being, education, employment, permanent connections, and stable living environments as they transition to adulthood. Compass works with youth and their families to make a plan of care that will assist them in accomplishing their goals. Youth meet with a case manager approximately once a week. If a youth's family is available for services, they will have the opportunity to work with Compass' Family Preservation Specialist around normal adolescent development, verbal de-escalation techniques, mediation, and other approaches. Provides crisis management for enrolled clients and families 24 hours a day through a pager. There is a rotating staff member on call at all times.

Spectrum Youth & Family Services is a non-profit youth and family services agency serving Chittenden County. Some programs also serve Franklin, Grand Isle, and Lamoille counties. Services and programs include two drop-in youth resource centers; a nightly shelter, mental health and substance abuse counseling for youth and families; youth shelter; transitional housing and support services for youth; education case management; and supported employment.
