Provides conflict resolution assistance that helps neighbors find a way to untangle problems and find effective, lasting solutions. Experienced mediators listen to individual story/concern and assist with thinking through options, act as go-betweens, provide a comfortable way for people to come together, keep conversation productive, and provide follow-up to see if members are following through with arrived-upon solution.

South Burlington Community Justice Center, a member of the Community Justice Network of Vermont, is a non-profit restorative justice organization that works with citizens, local and state government, and law enforcement agencies to provide restorative responses to crime and conflict for the city of South Burlington and the towns of Charlotte and Shelburne. Programs promote restorative practices by increasing community involvement in finding solutions to crime through Reparative Panels, Court Diversion, Conflict Assistance, Community Dialogue, Education and Crime Prevention, as well as Victim Support Services.
