DISASTER ANIMAL RESPONSE TEAM | RUTLAND AREA DISASTER ANIMAL RESPONSE TEAM
Coordinates evacuation and transportation of pets, provides safe shelters, and establishes a system to track and reunite pets with their owners in the event of a disaster. Provides resources and advice to strengthen and support Rutland County's capacity to respond to animal needs in the event of a disaster. Offers support and training for team members, and provides guidance to local emergency managers on including the communities' pet population in local response plans. Pet owners are encouraged to communicate with their local emergency manager via the Town Clerk for guidance on local response plans.
