SEXUAL ASSAULT PROGRAM | VERMONT CENTER FOR CRIME VICTIM SERVICES

Offers services to victims that include trained trauma informed forensic nurses at hospitals, testing, treatment, support services, HIV infection prevention, financial assistance, and a limited amount of counseling. The crime does not need to be reported to law enforcement to receives these services. All services are provided by phone only. If a physical meeting is required, an appointment must be arranged in advance with a staff person. Forensic Nurses at the hospital will assist with explaining the process and filling out and signing forms.

The Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services is a state agency that provides crime victim services and crime victim advocacy for victims throughout Vermont. Programs and services include: Victims Compensation Program, Victims Restitution, and Victim/Survivor Trainings. The Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services coordinates state and federal funding for agencies offering services to victims throughout Vermont.
