COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES | NORTHWESTERN COUNSELING AND SUPPORT SERVICES
Provides comprehensive services to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other pervasive developmental disorders. Individuals are assigned professional service coordinators who are responsible for clients' Individualized Support Agreements, and for assisting them in achieving success in the community. Services include personal support and case management, specialized residential programs, psychiatric and medical care, vocational and skill acquisition training, family support services, and support services to individuals in nursing homes. Provides a spectrum of supported living arrangements to meet the needs of each person. Clinical services for individuals include provision of a psychiatrist to provide evaluation, medication checks, and after-hours consultation on medication issues. Also provides care coordination services.

NORTHWESTERN COUNSELING AND SUPPORT SERVICES
Northwestern Counseling and Support Services (NCSS) is the designated community mental health agency for Franklin and Grand Isle Counties under contract with Vermont Department of Mental Health to provide acute and long-term behavioral health care services to people with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and other mental health problems, substance abuse and/or developmental challenges. NCSS provides emergency and crisis intervention services for adults, children, adolescents and their families, as well as substance abuse treatment services and also operates a parent child center.
