Provides assistance for people who need housing including information and guidance about rental costs; how to select affordable housing that meets individual needs; and how to provide for insurance, utility costs, and other requirements related to paying for housing. Coordinates with other providers in the community to help individuals and families obtain or maintain housing. May offer limited financial assistance with rent, rental deposit, and other payments. Also provides information on tenant rights and responsibilities.

SEVCA (Southeastern Vermont Community Action) is a regional community action agency that provides a variety of core services in the two-county communities it serves, including emergency support and assistance for low-income families and individuals in crisis. Other services include case management services, emergency fuel assistance, homeless prevention assistance, weatherization, emergency home repair, small business development, budget counseling, income tax preparation, and Windsor County Head Start programs.
