YOUTH SUBSTANCE AWARENESS SAFETY PROGRAM | FRANKLIN GRAND ISLE RESTORATIVE JUSTICE CENTER
Provides a voluntary program for youth who have received a civil violation for underage drinking or possession of alcohol, or a civil violation for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. The program consists of a substance abuse assessment, screening, an education program, and community service. Once YSASP clients successfully complete the program, their civil violation is voided.

Franklin Grand Isle Restorative Justice Center, a member of the Community Justice Network of Vermont, is a non-profit restorative justice organization that works with citizens, local and state government, and law enforcement agencies to provide restorative responses to crime and conflict in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties. Programs promote restorative practices by increasing community involvement in finding solutions to crime through Reparative Boards, Community Dialogue Facilitation's, Conflict Resolution Training, and Parallel Justice Programs .
