OPERATION CALL IN | ORLEANS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
Provides telephone reassurance, check-in, and friendly phone calls to area seniors or disabled adults who are in need of someone to touch base with them to ensure their well-being. Individuals in need of telephone reassurance should also be encouraged to contact their local SASH coordinators for additional information about friendly visiting volunteers and other resources that may be made available to them.

ORLEANS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
The Orleans County Sheriff's Department, a county law enforcement agency, is responsible for carrying out the following statutory functions: transportation of prisoners, mental health workers accompanying psychiatric clients and juveniles; provision of security at Criminal, Family and Civil Divisions, as well as at the Supreme Court; provision of serving civil process documentation; provision of contracted Motor Vehicle Patrol for specific towns within Orleans County as well as provision of numerous security and traffic functions. The sheriff's department participates in the medication disposal (drug take-back) program in partnership with the Vermont Department of Health.
